DIS with Efficiency Program

Individual driving style can influence fuel consumption by up to 30%. Selecting the right gear at the right time is one way to help reduce it. The gearshift indicator will tell you when to change gear and which gear to change to.

Aerodynamics

Aerodynamic performance plays a vital role in reducing fue consumption. Every Audi Prototype spends over 1,000 hours in the wind tunnel undergoing improvements. Streamlined for efficiency, the cars produce less air resistance, improved handling and lower co2 emissions.

S Tronic

The revolutionary S tronic transmission combines the agility and responsiveness of a manual gearbox with the convinience and smooth, interrupted power of an automatic. Fewer revs per minute and shorter gear changes mean greater fuel efficiency and lower co2 emissions

Start/Stop

When you're stuck in traffic or stopped at traffic lights, your idling engine still uses fuel. Our start-stop technology switches off the engine when you're not moving out of gear. This saves on energy, Co2 emmisions and fuel.

TDI

All Audi diesel engines are TDI engines. This impressive technology marks a departure from the noisy, thirsty diesel engines of the past. The TDI diesel engine delivers power, performance, low fuel consumption and reduced co2 emissions. Precise delivery of the exact amount of fuel means better performance and a 15% reduction in fuel consumption.

Recuperation

When you decelerate, the energy created is lost. Recuperation recycles this energy to lighten the load on your engine. It can reduce fuel consumption by up to 3%.
