Is there a more iconic car for Volkswagen than the Beetle?

Beetle is the vehicle that carries most Volkswagen DNA. Reinventing an icon is a challenging task, but the latest incarnation of the iconic Beetle rises to the challenge by blending retro looks with modern technology.
 
The styling is unmistakably Beetle, paying greater homage than ever to the original, while at the same time adding a more masculine edge that will give the new Beetle broader appeal.

It will appeal to keen drivers as well, with updated underpinnings that will make the driving experience as iconic as the looks.
 
The engine line-up will include smaller-capacity units than before which, coupled with swift-shifting DSG gearboxes, will make the new Beetle the most efficient Beetle ever.
 
A slightly wider track and longer wheelbase help to create more room inside, and despite the slightly lower roofline, headroom is also improved. As with the last Beetle, there will be a choice of coupe and convertible models, the latter using a folding fabric roof.
